We Tuft It, Back It and Roll It

Keep It Green Turf is not a distributor rebranding someone else's goods and not an installation company. The product is manufactured in Calhoun, Georgia, and sold to the trade — to artificial turf wholesalers and to the contractors installing it.

That structure is the reason the specifications on this site are complete. Pile height, face weight, total weight, both backing layers and the fiber composition are published for all twenty-three products, because the company that made them is the company publishing them.

It also means one consistent roll format across the entire line. Every product ships 15 feet wide at approximately 100 feet, taking 1–2 lbs of infill per square foot, so material takeoffs and seam layouts carry from one product to the next.

Construction

How a Keep It Green Turf Roll Is Built

Every product in the line is built from the same five layers. What changes between products is the specification of each one.

01
Fiber is tufted

Polyethylene across the landscape range, texturized nylon on the NylonForce putting products, texturized polypropylene or polyethylene on Pro Putt 42 and TXT 40.

02
Thatch is added

A secondary, shorter fiber layer beneath the blades; most of the line runs polypropylene thatch, while Zoysia, Lush Pro 75 and Pro Sport 45 run polyethylene.

03
Primary backing is set

An 18/5 pic rate on thirteen landscape products, a 13/13 pic rate on the Pro family, Premier S 55 and all four putting products.

04
Secondary backing is applied

18 oz Super Flow antimicrobial across most of the landscape range, 20 oz polyurethane on the Pro family, or embossed/white rubber on the two NylonForce products.

05
The roll is finished

15 feet wide by approximately 100 feet, the same across all twenty-three products.

Materials

Three Fiber Systems, Three Backing Systems

The whole line is assembled from a small, deliberate set of material combinations.

01
Polyethylene Fiber

The base fiber for all eighteen landscape and pet products, paired with either polypropylene or polyethylene thatch. Thirteen run an 18/5 primary with an 18 oz Super Flow antimicrobial secondary; the remaining five run a 13/13 primary with a 20 oz polyurethane secondary.

What Domestic Manufacturing Changes

Four consequences of the product being made here and sold direct.

01

No Distributor Margin

You are buying from the manufacturer, so there is no reseller markup stacked on the roll before it reaches you.

02

Quoting Without a Container Schedule

Domestic production means your lead time is not tied to an overseas shipping window.

03

Complete Published Specs

Every spec on every product is listed on this site, because the manufacturer is the one publishing it.

04

One Roll Format

15 feet wide at roughly 100 feet, with the same infill rate, across all twenty-three products.

Custom Tufting

Alongside the twenty-three-product standard line, Keep It Green Turf also tufts custom runs — specifics are handled by phone.

Frequently Asked

Manufacturing FAQs

How much does manufacturer-direct turf cost compared to buying through a distributor?

An exact price comparison isn't published, but the structural difference is that Keep It Green Turf sells at manufacturer pricing with no distributor margin stacked on top of the roll before it reaches the buyer — because the company selling the turf is the same one manufacturing it in Calhoun, Georgia. A firm quote requires a direct conversation naming the product and volume. No minimum order quantity, lead time, or freight terms are published at this time.

What does "manufactured in Calhoun, Georgia" actually mean for lead times?

Domestic production means a buyer is not quoting a job against an overseas container shipping schedule, which is one of four consequences of buying direct. No specific lead-time figure (e.g., days or weeks from order to shipment) is published or confirmed at this time, so none is stated here — that remains an open question.

What fiber and backing systems does Keep It Green Turf manufacture?

Three fiber systems: polyethylene (used across the full 18-product landscape range, paired with polypropylene or polyethylene thatch), texturized nylon (the two NylonForce putting products), and texturized polypropylene or polyethylene (Pro Putt 42 and TXT 40, respectively). Three backing systems: an 18 oz Super Flow antimicrobial secondary over an 18/5 primary (13 products, the most common backing in the line, relevant where animals are involved), a 20 oz polyurethane secondary over a 13/13 primary (8 products across the Pro family, Premier S 55, Pro Putt 42, TXT 40, and Pro Sport 45), and rubber backing — embossed or white — used only on the two NylonForce putting products.

Why does buying from a manufacturer matter for spec accuracy?

Because Keep It Green Turf is both the manufacturer and the publisher of its own specifications, pile height, face weight, total weight, both backing layers, and fiber composition are listed for all twenty-three products without needing to request a separate data sheet — the company that made the product is the one publishing its specs, rather than a distributor relaying secondhand information. This is one of the structural advantages of buying manufacturer-direct.

Is the roll format the same across every product line?

Yes — every one of the twenty-three products finishes at 15 feet wide by approximately 100 feet, taking 1–2 lbs of infill per square foot, regardless of which fiber or backing system it uses. This is a deliberate manufacturing choice: it means seam planning and material takeoffs carry between products on a job, rather than requiring a fresh calculation every time the product changes.
