The Short-Pile Range
Five Products Built for Roll, Not for Look
Playing surfaces are specified differently from landscape turf. Pile height is short and fixed — ½″ on the four putting and bocce products, ¾″ on Pro Sport 45 — and the variables that matter are what the fiber is made of and what sits underneath it.
NylonForce 47 and NylonForce S 47 are texturized nylon on rubber backing — embossed rubber on the first, white rubber on the second. Nylon is the stiffest of the three fiber types in the Keep It Green Turf line, which is what keeps a surface consistent under repeated foot traffic.
Pro Putt 42 and TXT 40 run on a 20 oz polyurethane secondary backing over a 13/13 primary, in texturized polypropylene and texturized polyethylene respectively.
Pro Sport 45 sits above all four at ¾″. It is the only Keep It Green Turf product carrying a sports-areas rating, and it is dual-rated for landscape as well, so a single surface can do both.
Total weight runs exactly 27 oz above face weight on all five, and every one is tufted on the same 13/13 primary backing.
